The first reaction of the roller is the roller bearing. The self-aligning roller bearing is a kind of roller bearing with double row rollers. The outer ring has a common spherical raceway, and the inner ring has two raceways which are inclined to an angle relative to the axis of the bearing. It is this ingenious structure that makes it have automatic alignment performance, so it is not easy to be affected by the angle of shaft and bearing box seat on the error or shaft bending. It is suitable for installation error or shaft bending caused by angle error occasions.
The inner holes of the self-aligning roller bearings are cylindrical and conical, and the taper of the conical hole is 1:30 and 1:12. The self-aligning ball bearings with conical inner holes can be assembled conveniently and quickly on the optical axis or on the stepped axle by using a set sleeve or a back-off sleeve. Unlike other bearings, self-aligning roller bearings can withstand not only radial load, but also biaxial load.
Since the self-aligning roller bearing has high radial load capacity, it is also particularly suitable for working under heavy load or vibration load, but it can not bear pure axial load. Because the raceway of the outer ring of this kind of bearing is spherical, its alignment performance is good and the coaxiality error can be compensated.
Self-aligning roller bearings can be divided into symmetrical spherical rollers and asymmetrical spherical rollers if they are distinguished according to the cross-section shape of the rollers. Of course, the non-symmetrical self-aligning roller bearings are still relatively early products, mainly serving for mainframe maintenance. The internal structure of symmetrical self-aligning roller bearings has been comprehensively improved and optimized, so they can withstand more. Its axial load and operating temperature are lower, which can meet the requirements of higher speed.
For self-aligning roller bearings, when the bearing with shaft is loaded into the box shaft hole, the use of intermediate installation ring can prevent the outer ring from tilting and rotating. It should be remembered that the balls of some size self-aligning ball bearings protrude from the side of the bearing, so the middle mounting ring should be concave in order to prevent damage to the balls.
For separable roller bearings, inner and outer rings can be installed separately, which simplifies the installation process, especially when both inner and outer rings need interference fit. When loading the axle with the inner ring in place into the bearing box with the outer ring, attention must be paid to check whether the inner and outer rings are correctly aligned to avoid scratching the bearing raceway and rolling parts.
